The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation

The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation (FTPF) is an award-winning international nonprofit charity dedicated to planting fruitful trees and plants to alleviate world hunger, combat global warming, and improve the surrounding air, soil, and water. FTPF programs strategically donate orchards where the harvest will best serve communities for generations, at places such as public schools, homeless shelters, drug rehabs, low-income neighborhoods, international hunger relief sites, and animal sanctuaries. Orland, California Animal Sanctuary Orchard Planting (Oct 11, 2008)

Details: This day will be focused on planting a fruit tree orchard for the animals at Farm Sanctuary, widely recognized as one of the country's best havens for rescued farmed animals. Directions: From I-5, exit 619 at Orland/Chico/Black Butte Lake/Newville road, go west on Newville road after exiting, drive 8-9 miles. Farm Sanctuary is on the right, across from the dam and run off lake. Follow the road up to the farm office or call us at 831-621-8096 to announce your arrival.
